In the first book of Daqin Saga, we transport you a millennium after the founding of Rome, plunging you into the heart of an empire in turmoil. Matthew Quinn Martin is a seasoned author who has captivated readers with his enthralling works. Notably, his collection 'Nightlife: Night Terrors,' published by Simon & Schuster's Pocket Star imprint, showcases his exceptional storytelling skills. The book, which includes three stories set in the same narrative universe, has garnered widespread respect from both readers and critics.
Beyond the realm of literature, Martin has ventured into the world of cinema as a co-writer for the film 'Being' (2019), which achieved distribution across various platforms including M-Net's Action+ satellite channel, Walmart, FandangoNow, Amazon Prime Video Rentals, and YouTube. His involvement in projects like 'Slingshot' (2005), featuring David Arquette, further demonstrates his value to Hollywood production teams.
In addition to his novel and film endeavors, Martin has made significant contributions to the literary world through his short works. His stories have been featured in esteemed publications such as Transition, The Writer, and multiple anthologies. Notably, his crime fiction anthologies inspired by the music of Steely Dan and Warren Zevon, titled 'A Beast Without A Name' and 'Lawyers Guns and Money,' respectively, showcase his ability to draw inspiration from music and create compelling narratives.
